Bellefaire JCB's Early Childhood Mental Health program provides mental health assessments to children ages 0 to 3. The program helps parents better interact with their infant or toddler. Masters-level clinicians conduct the assessments and treatment is provided in conjunction with masters-level social workers or counselors.
Bellefaire JCB's PACT (Parents & Children Together) program provides counseling to families who are experiencing stress or conflict. PACT services are provided in the familiar surroundings of the home, community or, if the family desires, in one of our neighborhood offices. Services are provided up to 6 hours per week for 3 months, and may be extended on a less intensive basis for up to 6 months. Sessions are scheduled to be convenient for the family and may take place weekdays during daytime or evening hours. Crisis services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The PACT program provides intensive counseling services to families who are experiencing stress due many factors. For example:
- There may be a child or teen who is experiencing social or emotional problems, such as ADHD, depression, or anxiety.
- A family may be overwhelmed with financial, housing, and childcare responsibilities.
- A child may be acting out with aggression or have self-control problems.
- A family may have experienced a trauma, separation or loss.
- A child may be struggling with school problems, juvenile court involvement, or conflicts within the neighborhood.
- Parents may be frustrated, confused or just plain tired of trying to deal with problems without help.
A licensed PACT counselor and the family will work together to identify the family's concerns and needs, and will develop an individualized program of service. Services may include: counseling, crisis stabilization, and advocacy with schools, the legal system and other community resources.
STARS (Support, Training, Advocacy, Referral Services) is a multi-faceted, skill-building program that helps children and adolescents with mental health issues and their parents. The program seeks to:
- Support children and adolescents in coping with mental health diagnoses and help parents to understand and manage their child’s emotional and behavioral problems.
- Train parents and youth in improving effective communication skills, through: anger management, conflict resolution, stress/anxiety management, and improving self esteem.
- Advocate with schools, juvenile courts, community agencies and other mental health professionals.
- Refer families to community resources, mental health services and positive social and recreational activities.
SAT (Substance Abuse Treatment) programs are based on an integrated treatment model designed to address the complex needs of children and adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
- ASAP (Adolescent Substance Abuse Program) provides intensive, in-home, family-based counseling services to adolescents and their families. Adolescents establish and maintain sobriety, learn skills to prevent relapse, improve communication, learn anger management and coping skills and begin the process of healing family relationships.
- MACT (Mothers and Children Together) provides intensive, in-home relapse prevention and treatment services to recovering mothers and their children.
- ITAP (Integrated Treatment and Aftercare) is a treatment program for adolescents in Bellefaire JCB’s Residential Treatment program who have a co-occurring substance abuse diagnosis.
- ICT (Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment) is provided by master’s level ICT counselors dually trained and licensed in mental health and substance abuse treatment. Provides individual and family counseling, crisis intervention and case management services.
